this post is for katie. katie, i haven't updated in a couple weeks because i've been so busy crafting and grad-schooling. i promise, i'll be better over the summer. 

Craftapoloza!

GUESS WHAT?  i was in a craft fair! granted, it was in a church basement and the clientele were about 20 years older than my target population...but i took the leap! i set up my table right next to the Pampered Chef and across from Initials, and was only intimidated for the first three hours. after that, i settled into conversation with my good friend/accountant-for-the-day and general craftasticness. i made approximately $60, which in no way covers my time and supplies. but you know what? i'll call that good.

ah, the maiden voyage.

normally, i wouldn't share too much about myself without the promise of dinner (or, at least a piece of delicious chocolate cake ). but, lest you think i'm playing hard to get, i'll give you the rundown.

i'm:
~ a student and a self-diagnosed bibliophile
~ in the business of promoting personal efficacy

who:
~ enjoys making pretty things in quiet moments and
~ appreciates nutella on just about everything

good. i'm glad we got that out of the way. my plan for this space is to post (and shamelessly promote) the artsy and crafty things i do. i love feedback, and i love other crafty-minded people (well, i love all sorts of people for all sorts of reasons, but maybe that's a subject for another blog).

a word about meadowlark: before you go thinking that i'm one of those earthy-crunchy-hippie types (which, really, i kind of am), let me explain the inspiration. it's the state bird of wyoming, a state with which i have a love/complicated relationship and decided history. this site and these endeavors are the direct result of that history.
